We were asked to work with a homeowner who wanted to make an apartment for her college aged son. This basement renovation took an empty, relatively unused space and turned it into a spacious, open concept apartment. This renovation project includes a new kitchen and bathroom where one didn’t previously exist.
When you enter the basement to the left of the window, you enter into the full kitchen with a small peninsula for dining.
As you continue through the kitchen there is a space for a future stacked washer and dryer and then a door to a full bathroom with a spacious shower.
In the living room/bedroom areas beyond the kitchen/dining area is a custom build fireplace with storage above it and a closet near the back entrance to the basement.
To the right of the above photo is the living and bedroom space, which is waiting on a custom Murphy bed and a sofa.
